The Langham, Boston Reveals Stunning Lobby & Champagne Lounge, The Reserve
Completed $6 Million Transformation Complements 10,000 Square-Feet of Function Space

BOSTON (November 1, 2012) – The anticipated unveiling of Boston’s latest treasure, a $6 million renovation to The Langham’s 6,000 square foot-lobby, is here. Located in the heart of the city’s bustling financial district, the hotel’s glistening transformed lobby features an open, contemporary floor plan with a dramatic entrance, welcoming concierge center, stylish reception area and European-style champagne lounge, The Reserve.“The Langham, Boston is a timeless hotel with great historical significance to the city,” said Serge Denis, Managing Director of The Langham, Boston. “With the transformation of our lobby, we worked to preserve that history, blending modern and classic elements to create a visually stunning grand entrance that is the perfect complement to our sophisticated meeting and event space.”
Designed by CBT Architects, the lobby and lounge boast opulent purple and gold custom-made leather banquets and tailored high-back chairs that complement a gleaming white Italian marble floor and dark-wood mixed-height dining and conversation tables. The renovation also gives way to the Grant Room, a 525 square-foot contemporary function space, featuring ample lighting, elegant colors, a lavish chandelier and a full audio visual system complete with 62 inch HDTV.

The Reserve features a continental breakfast and dining from dawn until dusk with nibbles, light entrees and desserts, along with a worldly selection of champagne, wine and beer. Beginning in December, The Reserve will serve Langham Hospitality Group’s signature traditional British Tiffin Afternoon Tea featuring its own innovative tea blends.

With ten elegant function rooms totaling over 10,000 square-feet, The Langham, Boston provides abundant options for business and social events. All event spaces offer flexible floor plans and full audio visual capabilities while renowned Chef Mark Sapienza’s customizable catering menus span a wide array of cuisine that highlight any occasion.

In addition to its new lobby, lounge and function space, The Langham houses 318 luxurious guest rooms and a selection of unique dining and entertainment options. Chuan Body + Soul offers guests 24-hour access to a high quality fitness center, indoor lap pool, whirlpool and spa treatments based on Traditional Chinese Medicine. BOND Restaurant ǀ Lounge serves lunch in the afternoon, small plates of global cuisine and craft cocktails in the evenings and boasts a carousel of talented deejays Thursday through Sunday nights in a chic metropolitan setting. Known for bringing more than 120 dessert options to diners during its weekly Chocolate Bar on Saturdays, Café Fleuri serves breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday along with hosting a Sunday Jazz Brunch under its lofty atrium ceilings in a Mediterranean atmosphere.
Located at 250 Franklin Street in Boston, Mass. 02110, The Langham is housed in Boston’s former Federal Reserve Bank building, which originally opened in 1922. The Langham is a national architectural landmark.
