"Gua Sha" History:
Gua Sha has a long history traced back to Palaeolithic age. It is one of the traditional natural therapies in China.
Gua means "scraping and rubbing" and Sha means a "reddish, millet-like skin rash."
Initially, Gua Sha was used to treat the unbalance of heat or cold inside the body and rheumatic pain of the elderly.
In the latter half of last the century, this ancient technique was further refined and Jin Luo (Meridian) Gua Sha developed.
It became a way of diagnosis and treatment for blocked meridians by Traditional Chinese Medicine doctors.

Benefits of Jade:
Commonly, Traditional Chinese Medicine practictioners have been using jade as a healing stone for treatment and as prevention for aging. Jade tastes "plain sweet, non-toxic."
