Fashion Show, Raffle, Silent Auction, and After Party during Boston Fashion Week to benefit Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism
BOSTON- September 9, 2009 – Boston Fashion Week heats up on Sunday, September 27 when “An Evolution of Style” comes to BOND restaurant and lounge. The fundraiser to support the Flutie Foundation will feature a fashion show, raffle, silent auction, and after party all sponsored by I Soci Salon, located on Newbury Street.
The fashion show will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. followed by an after party in BOND. Grey Goose is also a sponsor of the event and attendees can sip on four signature Grey Goose cocktails which watching the show
.
The catwalk will feature models wearing the fall collection from Stil Boutique, which has stores located at The Shops at Prudential and The Mall at Chestnut Hill. I Soci Salon staff will be styling the models’ hair for the show. Alexa Flutie, Doug and Laurie Flutie’s daughter, will be one of the models in the show.
Proceeds from the event will benefit The Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism, established in 1998 by Doug Flutie and his wife, Laurie, in honor of their 17 year old son, Doug, Jr. who was diagnosed with autism at the age of three.
There are 200 tickets available for the fashion show, 25 of which are VIP seats. The VIP seats are $125 per ticket and include a bottle of Grey Goose vodka. Regular admission is $75 per tickets and includes complimentary cocktails and hors d’oeuvres by BOND’s executive chef, Mark Sapienza.
This is I Soci Salon’s sixth year hosting the fashion show. While the charity has changed throughout the years, this is the first year the fashion show has been held during Boston Fashion Week. Drew Gullotti, Owner of I Soci Salon said, “It is an absolute pleasure to continue the Evolution Of Style tradition. In one night, we can do our part to help our community and city by raising money for the most worthy of charities. It also provides a venue for our staff to show their extraordinary talents, flex their creative muscles, and have fun. It is an evening that we look forward to every year.”
The silent auction and raffle will also benefit The Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism. Items include consultations by two local interior designers, clothing from Karmaloop, a gift certificate to La Voile restaurant, VIP tickets to the Boston Ballet, and an overnight stay at The Langham, Boston.

The Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism, Inc. was established in 1998 by Doug Flutie and his wife, Laurie, in honor of their 17 year old son, Doug, Jr. who was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. Autism is a neurological disorder that impacts the normal development of the brain in the areas of social interaction and communication skills.
