BOSTON— MARCH 24, 2008 — This Mother’s Day, The Langham, Boston has three culinary delights to help you honor your mother. Take the opportunity to show her just how wonderful she is with afternoon tea, the Saturday Chocolate Bar or a sumptuous brunch on Sunday.
On Saturday, May 10, roll out the red carpet for mom, with The Langham, Boston’s signature afternoon tea service. A Langham tradition dating back to 1865 in London, afternoon tea offers an assortment of tea sandwiches, pastries and a selection of 18 teas. Teas vary from the traditional Earl Grey, to the more exotic Blue Lavender. Afternoon tea is served daily and prices start at $24 per person including tea, sandwiches, pastries and scones.
Also on Saturday is the weekly Chocolate Bar, for the special women with a sweet tooth with a delicious assortment of more than 125 chocolate desserts. Treats include chocolate mousses, specialty cakes, made-to-order chocolate crêpes, homemade ice cream, fresh baked cookies, milk chocolate passion fruit tarts, miniature s’more cups, cotton candy, delicate truffles, donut machine, homemade waffles with chocolate fondue and more. The Chocolate Bar is available on Saturdays from noon to 3:00 p.m. The cost is $35.00 for adults, $17.50 for children 5-12 and free for children under 4 years of age.
The Sunday Jazz Brunch is a lavish affair on Sunday, May 11 with an enhanced buffet. Enjoy traditional breakfast items, seafood station, carving station, special children’s buffet table and signature desserts. Adults will enjoy the sounds of jazz music, while children will be entertained by a magician and balloon artist. The price is $80 per adult, $40 per child ages 5 to 12 and free for children under 5. The price includes one mimosa or one non-alcoholic beverage per person. Reservations are available for the following times: 10:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 3:45 p.m.
Surprise your mom, as now through Mother’s Day, guests in Café Fleuri will have the opportunity to enter a drawing to win a $250 gift certificate for spa services at The Langham, Boston’s new Chuan Body + Soul, which will open in mid-May.
